ENEOS Materials is promoting the ESGs based on the ENEOS Group's Basic Policy for ESG Management.

To achieve sustainable growth, we must achieve social recognition of our value by building more credibility with our stakeholders through our response to social needs and the resolution of social issues.
The ENEOS Group has accordingly formulated the Basic Policy for ESG Management.

ESG management at the ENEOS Group involves formulating management and business strategies based on risks and business opportunities and creating both economic value (profits) and social value (resolution of social issues) through our business in order to realize the ENEOS Group Philosophy.
The ENEOS Group is a group of companies that strives to earn the trust of stakeholders through the implementation of ESG management in our business operations.

Basic Policy of RC

ENEOS Materials Corporation regards occupational safety, security and disaster prevention, environmental protection, and product safety as important foundations of its business activities and promotes all business activities based on the following basic approach of Responsible Care.

1.We will strive to ensure the safety of our employees and local communities, protect the environment, and contribute to a sustainable global environment by identifying the risks associated with our business activities and implementing measures to address them.
2.We will endeavor to comply with the laws and regulations and self-imposed restrictions by collecting and reliably sharing information on the laws and regulations, etc. necessary for our business activities.
3.We will strive for product safety by developing products that are conscious of safety, health, and the environment and providing information on such products.

ENEOS Materials Signs Declaration Supporting the Responsible Care® (RC) Global Charter

In April 2022, ENEOS Materials declared that it would implement Responsible Care® (RC) in accordance with the "Basic Policy of JCIA on Environment, Health and Safety" established by the Japan Chemical Industry Association. Furthermore, we subscribe to the RC Global Charter, a voluntary activity policy adopted by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and shared by the chemical industry to enhance and reinforce RC activities around the world, and signed a declaration supporting the RC Global Charter in June 2024.

ENEOS Materials Carbon Neutrality Plan

Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions by businesses themselves (fuel combustion, industrial processes)
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the use of electricity, heat, and steam supplied by other companies
Scope 3: Indirect emissions other than Scope 1 and Scope 2 (emissions by other companies related to the activities of the business)
