ENEOS Materials Corporation is responsible for the materials business of the ENEOS Group, a leading energy, resources, and materials company.

Our company was established in April 2022 from the division of JSR Corporation's elastomer business, taking on our current shape in April 2024 by integrating the high-performance materials business of ENEOS Corporation.

Since its founding in 1957 as the former Japan Synthetic Rubber Co., Ltd., for close to 70 years, the elastomers business has been manufacturing and supplying products such as synthetic rubbers, thermoplastic elastomers, and latex. The high-performance materials business originated from the technologies of the former Nippon Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. and supplies high-performance monomers and polymers using our in-house technologies. Through monomer manufacturing, polymer synthesis, and processing technologies of high-performance materials, both the elastomer business and high-performance materials business have contributed to the development of various industries, including the automotive industry, by supplying products not only in Japan but also overseas.

In addition to the world-class research and development capabilities and manufacturing technologies we have cultivated to date, we will utilize the ENEOS Group’s abundant procurement of petrochemical raw materials, funds, organization, and global network to steadily supply higher quality, more competitive products.

Our Group's business environment is changing at a rapid pace, with major fluctuations in areas such as initiatives for global environmental issues, the international situation, and society’s requirements.
